💡
Adjusted standard recipe for more developed or funkier roasts with reduced agitation and more bypass. 5-5.5 grind. Temperature 87-92. Alternate recipe: 3.0 grind, 5x45g, Melodrip.

50-75-75 no agitation. 45s between pours. Finish at 1:30.
Decided to do 1:16 after smelling how clean the bloom was.
Last drops super sweet, feels far from extraction ceiling. Don’t think I want to stretch ratio for this because intensity is nice. Can go quite a bit finer, or maybe just do 4 pours. Can MAYBE go hotter to get more fruit. Not detecting much over extraction.
Night and day vs. the enigma.
Taste
- Aroma — pleasant ground smell. Very fruit forward… blueberry? Not super funky. Smells like a super clean natural in bloom. Brew has a fairly detectable berry / violet scent. Slight funk aroma that doesn’t translate to cup.
- Flavor — intensely sweet. Mild tealike astringency/savoriness, reminds me of oolong. Lots of tropical fruit. Interestingly doesn’t taste much like berry, more of a medley of various fruit. Clarity is fairly high. This is really good. Improves greatly on cooling — tea notes fade and this becomes like tropical fruit punch. Super well executed processed natural. Not really getting any of the fruits they list but there are definitely a TON of different fruit flavors in here.
- Aftertaste — lingering sweetness. Great texture.
- Acidity — actually fairly low despite how fruity this is. Acidity just gives a bit of balance to keep the sweetness from being too candied.
- Sweetness — very high; fruit forwards sweetness.
- Body — slightly on the light side.
