Relatively easy grind.

So far, when it comes to the mejorados I’ve liked, I think I prefer standard washed the most by far, with maybe slightly more development. This one tastes good so far, but feels like it doesn’t align with my personal preferences.

• March 29, 2025 — truthfully not getting the best cups so far, but is interesting enough with the strawberry shortcake note to get me to try 4 times. Ideally can maximize the pastry nature without getting astringency.
• April 3, 2025 has remained about the same. If anything haven’t been able to nail the nice notes that did emerge. So far mainly getting a bit of tartness and a fair dose of the mejorado bitterness. The strawberry aroma is present but hard to get it to translate to the cup. Feel it’s mostly brewer error. At the end of the day not my favorite. The one callout is that this is interesting enough for me to be motivated to repeatedly brew — other beans that don’t show much success feel like a chore to get through but this one feels like a challenge.
